Ep46 - What if God Doesn’t Answer My Prayer?

Many of us will have experienced times where we’ve prayed and prayed for a person or situation and have felt like our prayers fall on deaf ears. How “effective” is this really? we might want to ask God.

Why do some prayers seem to go unanswered? Will God’s will be done whether we pray or not? And if so, what’s the point of praying?

This episode we chat with Dr James Banks, a pastor, speaker, author, and writer for Our Daily Bread, about the idea of unanswered prayer. We also revisit Jemimah from Episode 10, whose prayers to be healed from her OCD went—seemingly—unanswered.

Join us to explore what the Bible teaches us about praying, and how to press forward when it feels like God isn’t listening.

Through this podcast and our other resources, our heart here at Anxious Faith is to invite people to take a break from the noise of the world and connect to God. We want to help people understand how the Bible is connected to their everyday lives by creating moments for pause and reflection, so the threads between scripture and what people are facing seem clear.

We’d be grateful if you would consider supporting us, whether through prayer, sharing our resources in your circles, or contributing towards our ministry costs.

We’d also love to connect with you on socials, where you can join the community, check out our other resources and see behind the scenes content from our team.
