A 5 Part Series on Rest

The following is an article from our parent ministry Our Daily Bread.

Written by Stephen Unwin, Australia

The Easter long weekend isn’t far away. For many of us, it provides the chance to maximise annual leave allowances and have a good, long break. We all need a break sometimes; we all need rest. Work, church, caring and studying can physically tire us out. But sometimes, our need for rest goes deeper; sometimes, our very souls feel weary. The good news is that, as David wrote, “our souls can find rest in God” (Psalm 62:1). That’s what we’re unpacking in this new series on rest.

We’ll be exploring how God’s gift of rest not only meets our needs, but is also something to delight in. It’s a gift that we’ll be enjoying for eternity, yet it’s also something God is inviting us to experience today, in this very moment. We pray this short series will help you know and enjoy God’s gracious invitation to rest in Him.
